NCC Cadets Lead Cleanliness Drive in Nurpur

In a commendable effort to promote cleanliness and environmental awareness, NCC cadets from Government Arya College in Nurpur organized a significant cleanliness rally. NCC Unit Organizes Cleanliness Rally

The NCC unit at Government Arya College in Nurpur, under the leadership of Principal Dr. Anil Kumar Thakur and directives from the Commanding Officer of 9 HP Battalion NCC, Dalhousie, conducted a cleanliness rally and sanitation initiative today.

The rally was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Thakur, who witnessed the enthusiastic involvement of 160 cadets — comprising 110 from Government Arya College, 18 from Montessori Cambridge School, Raja Ka Bagh, and 32 from Government Senior Secondary School, Nurpur.

Promoting the message of cleanliness and environmental stewardship, the cadets marched towards Nurpur Fort, where they engaged in an extensive cleanliness campaign. They collected plastic waste and other litter, ensuring proper disposal at designated locations, while also raising awareness about maintaining clean public spaces.

During the event, Principal Dr. Thakur emphasized that cleanliness is an ongoing commitment, not just a one-time event. He commended the cadets for their dedication, highlighting the significant role that youth can play in promoting sanitation and environmental protection.

The event was graced by the presence of NCC ANO Captain Surjeet Kumar, Prof. Manjeet Singh, Prof. Surjeet Singh, and PI staff member Havaldar Narendra Kumar from the 9 HP Battalion NCC.

The cadets showcased their discipline, spirit of service, and social responsibility, contributing to the success of the cleanliness drive and underscoring the importance of collective efforts for a healthier environment.
