CJP Launches Nationwide Protest Campaign

The Cockroach People's Party (CJP) has announced the initiation of a nationwide protest campaign against alleged irregularities in examinations. A demonstration is scheduled to take place today at 4 PM in Pune. The CJP reiterated its demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. During a press conference in Pune, CJP founder Abhijit Dipke stated that the organization will unveil its education manifesto today. This will coincide with the nationwide movement starting from the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) campus. Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk is expected to participate in the protest, which Dipke assured would be conducted peacefully.

According to Dipke, the manifesto outlines various reforms aimed at addressing the persistent concerns of students. He mentioned that the document emphasizes preventing question paper leaks, ensuring timely declaration of exam results, enhancing transparency in recruitment and entrance exams, holding examination officials accountable, and resolving issues faced by students due to delays and irregularities in conducting exams. These proposed measures have emerged amid growing worries about paper leaks, delays in results, and irregularities in recruitment and competitive examinations across the country.

Campaign Route and Duration

Dipke revealed that the campaign will commence in Pune and will pass through several cities, including Jaipur, Lucknow, Amritsar, and Bengaluru. It is anticipated that the movement will conclude at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 20. Reiterating the group's demands, he stated that the campaign will persist until the education minister resigns. He emphasized, 'We will not return until we secure the resignation of the minister, who is responsible for jeopardizing the future of over one crore students.'
