Emergency Protocol Activated on the ISS

On Friday, NASA instructed its astronauts to seek refuge following the detection of a new leak on the International Space Station (ISS).

The five crew members relocated to the SpaceX capsule that is currently docked at the ISS while Russian cosmonauts initiated repairs on the affected area.

Bethany Stevens, a NASA representative, stated that this precautionary measure was taken "out of an abundance of caution."

This section of the ISS has experienced various cracks and leaks over the years, prompting NASA to note that Roscosmos has opted for more comprehensive repairs in light of the recent leak.
