A serious incident was narrowly avoided on Monday in the Churah Subdivision when a vehicle lost control near Chaurasiyon on the Bagheigarh–Chanju route. Due to the absence of crash barriers along this stretch, the car veered off the road and precariously hung over a steep gorge. Thankfully, the vehicle did not fall into the ravine, and all passengers emerged without injury.
Local residents quickly arrived at the scene to assist in stabilizing the vehicle. Although there were no injuries reported, the car did incur some damage.
Community members voiced their frustration over the lack of crash barriers, despite numerous requests for their installation at this hazardous location. They cautioned that without immediate safety interventions, a serious accident could happen in the near future.
Residents have called on the Public Works Department to take swift action by installing crash barriers and enhancing road safety measures in the region.
