Nagaland Board Announces Class 10 and 12 Exam Results with High Pass Rates

Kohima, Apr 23: The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has officially released the results for the class 10 and 12 examinations, showing a pass rate of 72.07% for class 10 and 85.46% for class 12.
In the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination, 22,765 students participated, with 16,406 successfully passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 72.07.
Aman Kumar from MGM Higher Secondary School in Dimapur emerged as the top scorer in the HSLC exams, achieving 590 marks (98.33%), earning both the NBSE Topper Award and the Governor's Gold Medal.
Sudhanshu Kumar from Olympic Higher Secondary School, Zunheboto, followed closely with a score of 98.00%. The third position was shared by Shreya Singh from Holy Child School, Dimapur, and Benchumo Tungoe from Isaiah Ability Higher Secondary School, Wokha, both scoring 97.67%.
For the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) exams, the overall pass percentage improved to 85.46%, up by 3.02 percentage points from the previous year’s 82.44%.
In the Arts stream, 11,594 students took the exam, with 9,945 passing, resulting in an 85.78% pass rate. The Science stream had 2,749 candidates, with 2,355 passing, yielding an 85.67% pass rate. The Commerce stream saw 919 out of 1,125 candidates pass, achieving a pass percentage of 81.69.
Menguhaankum Chang from St John Higher Secondary Residential School, Dimapur, topped the Science stream with 95.60%. Keleno Thorie from Northfield Higher Secondary School, Kohima, led the Arts stream with 96.80%, while Shreya Debnath from Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, topped the Commerce stream with 96%.
The Board announced that marksheets for both HSLC and HSSLC will be available through respective institutions from May 1 to May 5. Students wishing to apply for rescrutiny have a 15-day window, and compartmental and improvement exams are set for June 2026, with applications open from May 11 to May 16.
