Mysterious 400-Kilogram Safe Discovered in Andhra Pradesh
Discovery of the Heavy Safe
In the village of Karivamula, located in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool district, a significant find was made during the excavation of an old building. Residents were thrilled upon discovering a massive box weighing approximately 400 kilograms. The news of this find quickly spread, drawing a crowd of curious onlookers to the site, prompting the family to contact the authorities.
Opening the Safe
A team from the revenue department and local police arrived to investigate the mysterious safe. They used a gas cutter to unlock it, and once opened, the contents were examined. However, the crowd was left disappointed as the safe contained nothing but scrap materials, including paper, sand, and pieces of iron and steel. Gradually, the onlookers dispersed after realizing the lack of valuable items.
How the Safe Was Unearthed
Narasimulu, a local resident, had purchased an old house previously owned by Krishna Reddy. While beginning renovations to construct a new home, workers unearthed the ancient safe from the foundation. Due to its considerable weight, they had to use a tractor to remove it. By this time, word had spread throughout the village, and a large crowd had gathered outside the house.
Authorities Respond
Upon receiving the information, police and revenue officials arrived at the scene. Under tight security, the box was opened, revealing old documents and sand inside. The discovery of these items left Narasimulu feeling disheartened, as the revenue officials indicated that all documents found were deemed illegal.
