Details of the Murder Conspiracy

On June 18, Sia, the fiancée of Pune real estate businessman Ketan Agarwal, signaled her lover Chetan Chaudhary to execute a premeditated plan, leading to Ketan being pushed into a gorge. This revelation came from a police officer investigating the case on Thursday.

According to the officer, Sia and Chetan opted for murder over elopement due to fears of family disgrace. Initially, both attempted to shift blame onto each other, a common tactic among suspects during interrogation. However, Sia eventually confessed to orchestrating the plot, with Chetan being complicit.

The officer noted that Chetan initially claimed he was present at the fort but did not approach the spot where Ketan was pushed, insisting he was unaware of the events. It became evident that he was lying, as both ultimately admitted their roles in the crime and provided a detailed account of the incident.

Execution of the Plan

The officer explained that Sia, aged 20, was supposed to signal from a distance, prompting 22-year-old Chetan to push Ketan into the gorge, which they executed as planned. They informed the police about the sequence of events, stating that Ketan had no inkling of the impending danger before being shoved.

Earlier, police had indicated that Sia had previously attempted to kill Ketan twice at Lohagad Fort, but those plans had failed. Sia and Ketan were engaged in February, with a grand wedding scheduled for November in Udaipur, where a palace had been booked for the ceremony.

Sia's father expressed his desire for severe punishment for those responsible for Ketan's murder during a conversation with reporters.

A Father's Grief

He stated that anyone accountable for this crime, even if it was his own daughter, should face the same fate as Ketan, who was pushed into the gorge. Sia's father remarked, "Ketan was like a son to me, and his death has devastated both families. We were eagerly preparing for the wedding. What has happened is incredibly tragic, and we still can't believe it."

He also dismissed allegations made by Ketan's father that the girl's family had concealed information. Sia's father insisted he was unaware of any issues in the relationship or any romantic involvement of his daughter with another person.

He described Sia as a "simple girl" who always appeared happy and excited about her upcoming marriage.
