Shocking Revelation in Meerut's Murder Case

In Meerut, a shocking development has emerged regarding the deaths of three individuals in the Daurala area. According to police reports, a sister conspired with her lover to poison her brother by mixing potassium cyanide into his drink. Three suspects have been apprehended in connection with this case.

The trio did not perish from consuming Banti Jeera Masala country liquor, as initially believed, but rather from the lethal substance added to it. SSP Avinash Pandey disclosed these startling details on Sunday.

Motivated by greed for her brother Ankit's substantial wealth, sister Alka collaborated with her lover, Pawan, to execute the murder. The police have arrested Pawan, Alka, and her jeweler friend Ashok Verma from Daurala.

SSP Pandey explained that on the evening of April 3, Ankit, along with Baburam and Jitendra, was admitted to Aryavart Hospital after their condition deteriorated following the consumption of the liquor. Unfortunately, they succumbed to their ailments during treatment. Their families alleged that the liquor was adulterated and toxic.

Investigations were launched, including checks at the liquor store, but tests revealed that other tetra packs sold were safe. The SSP stated that a sample of the Banti Jeera liquor was sent for laboratory testing, which confirmed its authenticity, ruling out any adulteration.

Upon further investigation, including reviewing CCTV footage from the area, a different narrative began to unfold. Alka had a long-standing romantic relationship with Pawan, which Ankit opposed vehemently, often resorting to verbal and physical abuse when intoxicated.

Alka, wanting to eliminate Ankit, conspired with Pawan to poison him. Pawan contacted his jeweler friend Ashok Verma, who provided him with potassium cyanide for 500 rupees.

On March 30, Pawan attempted to have Alka administer the poison to Ankit, but she could not go through with it. The next day, she returned the poison to Pawan. On April 2, Pawan ordered a tetra pack of liquor from his friend Kallu and mixed the powdered poison into it. On April 3, he sealed the pack with Fevikwik.

Later that evening, Alka informed Pawan that Ankit would be going to the oil mill. While cycling, Ankit conversed with Pawan, who handed him the tainted liquor pack.

After consuming the drink with Baburam and Jitendra, all three fell ill and died. Pawan expressed regret during police questioning about the deaths of Baburam and Jitendra.

The motive behind this heinous act was to seize Ankit's assets, which are valued at over eight crores. Alka and Pawan had been plotting for some time to eliminate him. Although Pawan is married, he frequently visited Alka's home.

Authorities are currently investigating the extent of the conspiracy to seize Ankit's property. The SSP confirmed that they are gathering more information and will soon seek remand for the suspects.

Pawan has a prior criminal record, having been charged with attempted murder in 2020 for firing at individuals during a dispute over a car.
