Murder of Domestic Worker in East Kailash Shocks Delhi Community
Tragic Incident in East Kailash
Authorities reported that a 45-year-old domestic worker was murdered in a residence located in East Kailash on Thursday. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Amar Colony police station. The victim has been identified as Meena. According to the Delhi police, when officers arrived at the scene, they found the suspect, a man approximately 50 years old, near the body. Initial investigations revealed that the woman was first struck with a cricket bat and subsequently attacked with a knife. Both weapons used in the crime have been recovered by the police. During preliminary questioning, the suspect admitted to the assault, and inquiries are ongoing to determine the motive behind the incident.
Legal Action and Ongoing Investigations
A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the law, and the suspect is currently in custody. Further investigations are underway, and more information is awaited. In a separate incident, the Delhi police have dismantled a significant human trafficking ring involved in the illegal trade of newborns. Twelve individuals have been arrested in connection with this case, including a woman who allegedly led the gang and posed as a doctor. According to police sources, she owns a nursing home and claims to be a medical professional. However, the police are still verifying her educational and professional credentials, and it has not yet been confirmed whether she is a qualified medical practitioner.
Rescue of Newborns
During this operation, five newborns were rescued. Among them, one infant is four months old, two are 27 days old, one is 20 days old, and another is just five days old.
