Expansion of the T20 Mumbai League

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced the opening of bids for a new franchise in the T20 Mumbai League, which will increase the league's total teams to nine. This new team will represent the Navi Mumbai area, enhancing the league's outreach and offering more opportunities for cricketers from Mumbai and its neighboring regions.


Details on the Bid Process

Prospective bidders can collect the bid documents from the MCA office located at the Cricket Centre, Wankhede Stadium, Churchgate, Mumbai, from August 10 to August 25, 2026. The documents are available for a non-refundable fee of Rs 2.5 lakh, payable via Demand Draft made out to the Mumbai Cricket Association. Alternatively, payments can be processed through bank transfer as detailed in the tender notice on the MCA's official website.
