Earlier, on June 28, a road accident in Reasi district resulted in injuries to eight personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and a civilian driver when their bus overturned along the Tarakote route to the shrine.
Factors such as excessive speed, overloading, aggressive driving, distractions from mobile phone use, and poor road conditions are frequently cited as contributors to accidents in this region.
The mountainous areas of Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Kishtwar, Reasi, Ramban, and Udhampur are particularly known for hazardous roads where reckless driving often leads to tragic outcomes.
