Following his impressive performance against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), Mukul Choudhary of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) expressed his deep respect for cricket legend MS Dhoni. Choudhary mentioned that he looks up to Dhoni, particularly for his skills as a finisher. He noted Dhoni's famous helicopter shot and his leadership during the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup as significant influences on his own game. "I admire MS Dhoni because I also play as a finisher. His helicopter shot is iconic and my favorite. The way he led India to victory in the 2011 World Cup is unforgettable. I aspire to be like him and help my team secure wins," Choudhary shared during an interview on JioHotstar.

In a thrilling encounter on Thursday, Choudhary delivered a remarkable performance that was pivotal in LSG's victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders. He scored 54 runs off just 27 deliveries, hitting seven sixes and two fours, leading his team to a nail-biting three-wicket win. His crucial contribution included a significant 50-run partnership with Avesh Khan.
The unbeaten 54-run partnership between Choudhary and Avesh Khan set a record for the highest eighth-wicket or lower stand in a successful IPL chase. Notably, Mukul contributed 52 runs to this partnership, while Avesh supported him with a score of 1*(3) from the other end.
