Mother Returns After Eloping with Lover, Sparks Family Conflict
Unexpected Return Leads to Family Dispute
A woman who had eloped with her lover two months ago, taking her two children with her, has unexpectedly returned home. The situation escalated into chaos when she confronted her husband at the local police station. Both parties expressed their unwillingness to reconcile, but the husband insisted that the children should be returned to him, fearing for their safety with their mother and her partner.
The distressed husband, who operates a paratha and tea stall on Gadh Road, reported that a young man had frequently visited his shop as a customer. This individual often engaged in conversations with his wife during his absence, and would leave whenever the husband was present.
The husband presented photographs as evidence, claiming that two months prior, his wife had left with the children on a motorcycle with the young man. Despite his efforts to locate them, he found no leads until she returned to her parental home on Saturday. Upon notifying the police, both parties were summoned to the station, but no one from the woman's family attended, while her lover's relatives did show up.
The husband requested that the young man be summoned to the station as well, but he had already left for his village. Meanwhile, the woman accused her husband of domestic violence, stating that she preferred to live with her lover instead. The husband refused to take her back but insisted on gaining custody of the children.
The police have recorded statements from both sides. Since neither party wishes to live together, they have been advised to reach a mutual agreement. However, they were warned that any disruption of public order would lead to legal action.
