Mother of Two Returns After Eloping with Lover, Sparks Family Conflict
Unexpected Return Leads to Family Dispute
A woman who had eloped with her lover two months ago, taking her two children with her, has unexpectedly returned home. The situation escalated into chaos when she confronted her husband at the local police station. Both parties expressed their unwillingness to reconcile, but the husband insisted that the children should be returned to him, fearing for their safety with their mother and her lover.
The distressed husband shared that he operates a paratha and tea stall on Gadda Road. Recently, a young man had begun frequenting his shop, often during the husband's absence. This young man would engage in conversations with the wife, leaving whenever the husband was present.
The husband presented photographs as evidence, claiming that two months prior, his wife had left with the young man on a motorcycle, taking their children. Despite his efforts to locate her, he found no leads until she returned to her parental home on Saturday. Upon notifying the police, both parties were summoned to the station, but the woman's family did not attend, while her lover's family did.
The husband requested that the young man also be summoned, but he had already left for his village. Meanwhile, the woman claimed that her husband was abusive, which led her to prefer living with her lover. The husband refused to take her back but insisted on having custody of the children.
The police stated that they have recorded statements from both sides. Since neither party wishes to live together, they suggested that both families meet to discuss a resolution. However, they warned that any disruption to public order would result in legal action.
