Mother of Four Elopes with Lover in Madhya Pradesh
A Love Story Beyond Boundaries
The famous lines from Jagjit Singh's ghazal resonate deeply: 'There should be no age limit or birth ties when love is involved.' This sentiment has been exemplified in a recent incident from Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, where a mother of four eloped with her lover. The woman had been in a romantic relationship with a relative for the past five years.
She cleverly deceived her husband and children at the bus stand before making her escape.
Marriage and Family Background
Rajaram, a resident of Chhatarpur, married Ramdevi eleven years ago. The couple has four daughters, two of whom live with their grandparents in the village, while the other two resided with Rajaram in Delhi. For the past nine years, Rajaram has been working as a laborer in Delhi. Meanwhile, his wife Ramdevi has been involved with Sunil Shrivastava, a relative, for the last five years.
The Escape at the Bus Stand
The incident occurred early Thursday morning at the Chhatarpur bus stand, as Rajaram was returning to the village with his wife and children from Delhi. Upon arrival, Ramdevi asked her husband to take the children to the restroom. When Rajaram returned, he discovered that his wife had fled with her lover Sunil, taking with her ₹24,000 in cash and an additional ₹50,000 from their bank account.
Husband Files a Complaint
After contacting Ramdevi's parents, Rajaram was told that their daughter was 'dead' to them and that she would not be returning. Consequently, Rajaram filed a complaint at the city police station at 5 PM. Station Officer Arvind Kujur stated that an investigation would be conducted, and appropriate action would follow. Rajaram expressed his distress, mentioning that he was saving money for his daughter's wedding, which his wife took with her.
