Former Indian cricketer Mohit Sharma humorously addressed the ongoing skepticism regarding the inclusion of ODI specialists Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the squad for the upcoming 2027 Cricket World Cup. Speaking to a media outlet during the World Championship of Legends (WCL) season 3, where he represents the India Champions team, Mohit dismissed the critics' concerns.


'Who Are These Critics?': Mohit's Sharp Retort


When asked about the persistent discussions surrounding Rohit and Virat's positions in the ODI lineup, Mohit referenced a popular meme from the film Jolly LLB, stating, "I recall a meme, 'Who are these people, where do they come from?' There’s no reason to engage in this conversation," effectively silencing the critics with his sharp wit.


Virat Kohli's Impressive Performance

In 2023, Virat Kohli has played nine ODIs, amassing 552 runs at an impressive average of 69.00 and a strike rate of 117.94. His performance includes two centuries and three fifties, with a top score of 139*. Recently, during the ODIs against the West Indies, he scored a total of 168 runs in three innings, highlighted by a remarkable 139* off just 88 balls while chasing a target of around 290 runs.
