Modi Confident of NDA's Victory in Assam Ahead of Elections
Prime Minister's Assurance for NDA's Future in Assam
Guwahati, Mar 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed his belief that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will continue to govern Assam, predicting that the State is ready for another five years of a double-engine administration.
In anticipation of his upcoming visit to Assam on April 1, Modi took to social media to emphasize the advancements the State has made over the last decade, noting that development across various sectors has bolstered public backing for the NDA.
“Assam is recognized for its developmental achievements across multiple sectors. Hence, the sentiment is clear — it’s NDA all the way. The people are prepared for five more years of the double-engine NDA government,” the Prime Minister remarked.
Additionally, Modi revealed plans to connect with BJP party members and the citizens of Assam through a virtual rally on the NaMo App at 1 pm on March 30, as part of the "Mera Booth Sabse Mazboot Samvaad – Assam" initiative.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, while sharing the Prime Minister’s message, stated that Assam has experienced remarkable growth under Modi’s guidance, from enhanced connectivity to the preservation of heritage.
“Today, everyone is reaping the rewards of the double-engine government and is gearing up to once again fully support the NDA administration,” Sarma added.
BJP spokesperson Pranjal Kalita mentioned that the Prime Minister’s involvement is anticipated to further invigorate the party’s campaign efforts.
“Following his extensive public engagements, the Prime Minister will also directly interact with party workers and the people of Assam on March 30 at 1 pm,” Kalita stated.
As per party insiders, Modi is expected to arrive in Assam on March 31 and will spend the night in Dibrugarh. On April 1, he is set to address election rallies in Dhemaji and Behali.
Moreover, the Prime Minister is likely to return to Assam on April 6 to participate in three campaign meetings at Hojai, Barpeta Road, and Moran.
Assembly elections are scheduled in several states, including Assam, in April. The State will hold its elections on April 9, with vote counting planned for May 4.
