Chief Minister's Campaign in Virudhunagar and Madurai
Chennai: On Sunday, Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is set to campaign vigorously in the Virudhunagar and Madurai districts, where he will engage in multiple public meetings and a roadshow to support DMK and its alliance candidates.
Continuing his energetic campaign, Stalin addressed gatherings on Saturday in Nagercoil and Sankarankovil, located in Tenkasi district, before resting for the night at a guest house in Virudhunagar.
A significant public rally is planned in Virudhunagar, specifically at Chathirareddiapatti along the Madurai four-lane highway, where a grand stage has been erected to host party members and supporters on Sunday.
During the Virudhunagar rally, Stalin will advocate for candidates from seven Assembly constituencies, including Sattur Ramachandran (Aruppukottai), Thangam Thennarasu (Tiruchuzhi), Ashokan (Sivakasi), Thanga Pandian (Rajapalayam), Vijay Prabhakar (Virudhunagar), Mahalingam (Srivilliputhur), and Bernadur Rajachirathur.
After the Virudhunagar event, he will head to Thirumangalam in Madurai district, where he is expected to address another public meeting at 4 p.m. in Rayapalayam, aimed at rallying support for nine DMK alliance candidates in the district. This includes backing for Palanivel Thiaga Rajan (Madurai Central) and candidates from Madurai East, North, South, West, Thirumangalam, Tirupparankundram, Sholavandan, and Usilampatti constituencies.
It is noteworthy that the candidate for the Melur constituency has not yet been revealed.
Later in the evening, Stalin will arrive in Madurai city to conduct a roadshow that will span a crucial route from TVS Nagar bridge to the Villapuram Jayavilas area in the Madurai West constituency.
This roadshow is anticipated to attract a large crowd as the DMK aims to solidify its voter base in the area.
The Chief Minister's campaign schedule for the day will conclude with his departure for Chennai by flight around 7 p.m.
With the Assembly elections just around the corner, Stalin's extensive campaign efforts highlight the DMK's commitment to enhancing its influence in southern districts and garnering support for alliance candidates in competitive constituencies.
