Invitation to DMK Leaders for State Conference

On Thursday, MK Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, extended an invitation to leaders and members of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) for the party's state conference scheduled for March 9 in Tiruchirappalli. In an open letter, Stalin urged party workers to prepare for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. He expressed that this invitation, written by one of their own, is for the Tiruchi conference, addressing the beloved brothers and sisters of their leader, Kalaignar.

Stalin conveyed his eagerness to see all comrades at the grand special election conference of the DMK, which represents a significant movement in Dravidian politics. The theme of the event, taking place in the stronghold of Tiruchi, is 'Long Live Stalin's Rule - Victory for Tamil Nadu.' He further mentioned that the conference will be held in Siruganur, Tiruchirappalli, where nearly one million party administrators from all levels, from headquarters to branch units, are expected to attend. The 2026 elections will be a time to reap the rewards of their hard work, and they are gathering in Siruganur to prepare for this electoral battle.

While praising Tamil Nadu Minister and Tiruchirappalli West MLA K.N. Nehru, Stalin noted that he personally sent invitation letters to each administrator participating in the conference on February 26. He remarked that whenever a conference is held in Tiruchi, it marks a pivotal moment in the party's history. The first name that comes to mind when thinking of a party conference is that of their General Secretary and esteemed Minister, K.N. Nehru. All the state, regional, and special conferences he has organized in Tiruchi have been grand and impactful, firmly etched in the history of their movement. As he often states, 'If Nehru is there, then there is a conference; if there is a conference, then Nehru is there.' Even today, he is managing the arrangements for the conference with great skill. If Kalaignar were with them today, he would say: 'Nehru is like a great mountain. Comrades, let’s move towards Tiruchi.'

After collaborating with Congress on seat-sharing for the secular progressive alliance, Stalin praised the coalition politics. The DMK has allocated 28 seats to its ally Congress for the upcoming elections. According to party sources, around 10 lakh workers are expected to participate in the 12th state conference. This event is taking place ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, where significant announcements related to the party's electoral promises are anticipated. With only a few days left for this grand event, party leaders and organizers are ramping up preparations in Siruganur, located along the Tiruchi-Chennai National Highway.
