Mufti's Strong Reaction to Modi's Diplomatic Engagement

Mehbooba Mufti, the president of the PDP, expressed her strong disapproval regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent trip to Israel. She specifically criticized the warm interactions and camaraderie displayed between Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Speaking to reporters in Anantnag, the former Chief Minister emphasized that as the leader of a nation with over 1.4 billion people, the Prime Minister should be acutely aware of the messages and implications of his diplomatic actions. She pointed out that the current situation in Gaza has drawn the attention of the global community, and any public display during such a time could send conflicting signals internationally.

Mufti further accused Netanyahu of being responsible for civilian casualties during the Gaza conflict, labeling him an 'international criminal' and suggesting that legal actions could be pursued against him in certain countries. While she did not specify any particular nation or legal process, her comments hinted at issues related to international law and human rights.
