Today, a gathering of local shopkeepers and priests from Hadsar took place, led by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Bharmour, Mr. Vikas Sharma.
During this session, the ADM emphasized the necessity for all vendors along the route from Hadsar to Dal Lake to adhere to the NGT guidelines and secure approval from the DFO office. He also mentioned that a cleanliness fee would be imposed on shopkeepers by the DFO office.
Mr. Sharma revealed that restoration work on areas of the path that suffered damage during last year's monsoon season has commenced. He stressed that any unauthorized shops near Dal Lake would be dismantled. Additionally, he instructed the Public Works Department to swiftly address road repairs between Bharmaur and Hadsar that were impacted by landslides.
The ADM also noted that the wooden bridges at Dunali and Dhanchho, which were damaged in the last monsoon, will be reconstructed by the DFO and PWD. He invited feedback from the priests regarding issues encountered during the pilgrimage, assuring that these concerns would be resolved in the forthcoming Manimahesh Yatra.
