Revati Swain's Remarkable Achievement


Bolangir: Revati Swain, a daughter of a daily wage worker from Bolangir district, has achieved the top position in the postgraduate examinations at Rajendra University, boasting an impressive CGPA of 9.67. Her accomplishment has garnered significant recognition and admiration.


As a student in the Department of Zoology, Revati's success was confirmed when the results were released on Friday evening. Her determination and resilience in the face of financial challenges have inspired many in her community.


Revati's father, Santosh Swain, earns a living as a daily wage laborer, while her mother, Jayanti Swain, manages the household. Originally hailing from Kulthipali village in the Puintala block, the family relocated to Bolangir in 2021 to enhance their children's educational prospects.


Currently residing in a rented home at Gandhinagar Pada, Santosh has been diligently supporting the education of his three children: Revati, her sister Sebati, and their brother Raja through his daily labor.


With aspirations of becoming a scientist, Revati aims to develop innovative treatments for cancer patients. She attributes her success to the unwavering support of her parents, educators, university staff, siblings, and mentors.


In light of her remarkable achievement, Mukesh Mahaling, the Odisha Health Minister and local MLA, extended his congratulations and offered financial assistance, promising support for her future academic endeavors.
