Incident of Dog Killing in Shahjahanpur

In a shocking incident in the Kalan police jurisdiction of Shahjahanpur district, law enforcement has apprehended a meat seller accused of fatally stabbing a pet dog. This information was confirmed by a police official on Saturday.


The Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural), Diksha Bhavre, reported to a news agency that Bhupendra Sharma, a local resident, filed a complaint stating that on Friday evening, a female dog wandered into a meat seller's shop in the town. There, the meat sellers, Salim and Waseem, allegedly attacked the dog with a sharp weapon.


According to the report, the female dog succumbed to its injuries at the scene, prompting the assailants to flee. The ASP mentioned that police arrived promptly, seized the dog's body, and arranged for a post-mortem examination. Subsequently, Salim, one of the accused meat sellers, was arrested under the Animal Cruelty Act.
