Massive Python Causes Panic in Bihar Residential Area

A giant python measuring approximately 20 feet was discovered in a residential neighborhood in Bagaha, Bihar, leading to widespread panic among residents. The snake, which had been preying on local livestock, was captured by locals and handed over to the forest department. This incident has raised concerns about wildlife encroachment in populated areas, as many animals had gone missing in recent months. Fortunately, no humans were harmed, and the community is now feeling a sense of relief after the python's capture. The local ranger noted that such snakes can be displaced by floodwaters, prompting their appearance in urban settings.
 

Panic Erupts as Giant Python is Discovered


The mere mention of a python can send chills down anyone's spine. Imagine the chaos if one were to suddenly appear in a populated area. This scenario unfolded in Bagaha, located in the West Champaran district of Bihar, where the discovery of a python in a residential neighborhood led to widespread panic. Residents were alarmed upon finding a massive python, reportedly around 20 feet long, behind their homes.


Efforts were made by some locals to carefully capture the snake, which was subsequently handed over to the forest department. Since the python's appearance, the villagers have been living in fear.


The incident took place in Ward 28 of the police jurisdiction, where the python was caught behind the house of a young man named Sanjay Kumar. There have been multiple reports of missing chickens and goats in the area, believed to have fallen prey to the python. Fortunately, no humans were harmed, and the capture of the snake has brought some relief to the community.


The python had made its home behind a residence in this urban area, preying on local poultry and livestock. Sanjay Kumar noted that several animals had mysteriously disappeared over the past six months, but the presence of such a large python had never crossed their minds. According to local councilor Ajay Nath, initial fears were high, but after some time, brave individuals managed to subdue the python. Ranger Manoj Kumar explained that pythons can be swept into various areas due to floodwaters.
