Growing Movement Against JPSC and JSSC Exam Irregularities

The protests against alleged irregularities and paper leaks in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) exams have escalated into a significant public movement. On Monday, the demonstration entered its sixth day, transforming the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi into a vibrant hub of activism reminiscent of Delhi's historic Jantar Mantar, where hundreds of students waved the national flag and chanted slogans against the state government. This protest has garnered support from the 'Cockroach People's Party' (CJP).

CJP Voices Support on Social Media

Abhijit Dipke, the founder of CJP, known for advocating student issues nationwide, took to the social media platform 'X' to express solidarity with the candidates raising concerns about the JPSC and JSSC recruitment exams. He stated, "I have spoken with candidates protesting against the irregularities in Jharkhand. CJP stands firmly with all students in Jharkhand and supports their legitimate demands."

Student Leader's Hunger Strike Inspired by Sonam Wangchuk

What began as a movement from Bapu Vatika has now grown into a large-scale protest. Following the example of Sonam Wangchuk, who undertook a 26-day hunger strike for educational reforms, student leader Devendra Nath Mahto has initiated an indefinite hunger strike. He has emerged as a prominent figure in this movement, demanding the immediate cancellation of the 14th JPSC exam due to the alleged irregularities.

Protesters Declare: We Are Awakening the Government

Amidst the students' anger and ongoing hunger strike, the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium echoed with slogans reminiscent of those heard during protests at Delhi's Jantar Mantar. A reporter from a Media House witnessed the scene firsthand. When he approached one of the protesters and inquired how they remained steadfast despite the heavy rain and thunder, the protester replied, "While the monsoon clouds may loom over Jharkhand, the dark clouds of corruption have cast a shadow over the future of the state's students. Our movement will continue until these clouds dissipate."

Determined Protesters Vow to Keep Fighting

Many protesters shared with the Media House that they would not rest until the government awakens to their plight. They expressed, "We are now taking it upon ourselves to wake the government up."
