The enforcement branch of the State Goods and Services Tax (GST) has confiscated a large quantity of jewelry at Jaipur Airport, as reported by officials.

According to a statement released by the department, this operation was conducted by the state GST enforcement team on January 6.

The statement indicated that authorities received information regarding the illegal transportation and trade of bullion, natural diamonds, gold, and diamond jewelry via air cargo from Kolkata to Jaipur without valid documentation.

It further mentioned that the team monitored the interstate network involved for several days and devised a strategic plan. The enforcement team intercepted parcels filled with gold and diamond jewelry that were sent via courier from the domestic airport, successfully seizing the illegal shipment.
