Massive Fire Erupts in Ghaziabad Residential Building, Rescue Operations Underway
Fire Breaks Out in Ghaziabad Apartment Complex
On Wednesday morning, a severe fire broke out in a multi-story residential building located in the Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad, prompting a large-scale firefighting and rescue operation, as reported by officials.
According to the fire department, the blaze ignited around 8:50 AM on the 11th floor of the Gaur Green Avenue Society and quickly spread to several other floors.
Over a dozen fire engines from nearby regions, including Vaishali, Sahibabad, and Noida, were dispatched to the scene under the direction of the chief fire officer.
Rescue Efforts and Ongoing Investigation
By approximately 10:30 AM, firefighters had largely contained the fire, although efforts to extinguish it completely were still ongoing.
Simultaneously, rescue operations were conducted, successfully evacuating several residents trapped inside, including an elderly individual who required oxygen support. Firefighters used a stretcher to bring him to safety.
Officials indicated that the fire had spread from the seventh to the eighth floor. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is currently underway.
