Speaking on 'X', Tewari emphasized that he has always prioritized developmental needs over party politics, stating, 'That's just who I am, regardless of what others think!' His comments followed his participation in a high-profile event on July 17, where PM Modi inaugurated several development projects in Chandigarh and Tewari's former constituency, Sri Anandpur Sahib.

Highlighting Development Over Politics

Tewari recalled an incident from August 24, 2022, when he put aside party differences to focus on local development. He attended the inauguration ceremony of the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in New Chandigarh, which he described as a crucial lifeline for thousands of cancer patients in the area. He reiterated his commitment to prioritizing developmental needs above political affiliations.

Concerns Over Political Discourse

Reflecting on his 45-year political journey, Tewari expressed concern over the decline in public discourse. He noted, 'In my 45 years as a political worker, I have witnessed the systematic fragmentation of our politics.' He further remarked that the political landscape has become increasingly toxic, where political rivals are viewed as deadly enemies.

Critique of Delhi's Political Climate
