Manipur's Security Forces Take Down Illegal Bunkers: What You Need to Know

Destruction of Illegal Bunkers in Manipur


Imphal: Authorities reported that six illegal bunkers were dismantled in the Kangpokpi district of Manipur on Thursday.


The operation involved the destruction of two bunkers in Tingpibung village, three at Lungter Hill, and one in Leplen village.


During the operation, security personnel also confiscated 12 empty 7.62 mm ammunition cases from the locations.


In a separate initiative, security forces uncovered weapons and explosives close to the India-Myanmar border in Tengnoual district.


Among the recovered items were an AK-47 rifle with a magazine, a carbine with a magazine, and four improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
