Mamata Banerjee Rejects Election Defeat, Vows to Fight Back

Mamata Banerjee has publicly rejected the results of the recent West Bengal elections, claiming a moral victory and vowing to continue the fight against both the BJP and the Election Commission. In a press conference, she detailed allegations of mistreatment during the election process and expressed her determination to take action against the Election Commission. Banerjee also addressed concerns about party members joining the BJP out of fear, stating she would not object if their safety was guaranteed. Her strong stance indicates a commitment to her party's resilience and future strategies.
 

Mamata Banerjee's Strong Response to Election Results

In a bold statement rejecting the recent election defeat in West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has made significant revelations regarding her resignation. She asserted that morally, they have emerged victorious, emphasizing that her resignation is not up for discussion. The Trinamool Congress leader insists that her party has not lost the elections and declared, 'We will make a comeback; we will fight back.' During a press conference, the acting Chief Minister accused the central government, led by the BJP, and central forces of committing atrocities under the guise of conducting elections. She remarked that she has not witnessed such oppression since 2004, describing the situation as horrifying. On Monday, Banerjee reiterated her claims of mistreatment and physical assault at the Bhawanipur counting center, stating that she was kicked in the stomach and back.

Banerjee further stated that her party's struggle is not only against the BJP but also against the Election Commission of India. She mentioned that the TMC plans to take action against the Election Commission, although details will remain undisclosed for now. 'We are taking action, and we will retaliate, but our strategy is confidential,' she noted. The TMC president also revealed that some party workers are joining the BJP out of fear, adding that she has no objections if the BJP ensures their safety. She accused the BJP of intimidation and threats, stating, 'If my party workers join the BJP for their safety, I have no objections.'
