Protests Erupt Against Former Chief Minister

On Sunday, Mamata Banerjee, the former Chief Minister of West Bengal, encountered significant opposition in North 24 Parganas. While she was en route to the home of a deceased TMC worker, protesters shouted accusations of theft against her. Reports indicate that mud was also thrown at her vehicle during this incident.


Demonstrators Confront Banerjee's Vehicle

The confrontation took place in the Bijpur area. As Banerjee was heading to meet the family of the deceased party worker, a group of demonstrators surrounded her car and began chanting slogans. It is noteworthy that the TMC worker had died after falling ill while in police custody.


Banerjee Claims Attack Was Pre-Planned

Following the incident, Banerjee spoke to reporters, stating, "Stones, shoes, and mud were thrown at my car. This is a calculated conspiracy against me. I had informed the police about my visit in advance, yet there were no adequate security measures in place. Anti-social elements have taken control of West Bengal."

Protesters Accuse Banerjee of Creating Disturbance
