She stated that those who wish to leave are free to do so, adding that she has a message for the BJP. Mamata claimed that the party wished for her to suffer a heart attack, asserting, "I will remain alive until I witness your downfall." On Wednesday, Mitra departed from Mamata's camp to align with the rebel group led by Ritabrata Banerjee, clarifying that he merely changed his room in the assembly. He mentioned that he left the TMC after his request for the party's national general secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, to step down for six months was ignored.

She praised him for choosing to continue the political fight instead of seeking relief through compromise. During a Facebook Live session on Wednesday, the TMC leader reiterated that Abhishek was unfairly targeted, noting that his family received summons. She added that he could have sought relief but chose not to retreat from the battlefield, earning forgiveness for his shortcomings due to his perseverance.
