Mamata Banerjee's Bold Claims for Upcoming Elections

On Tuesday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee asserted that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) will secure victory for the fourth consecutive time in the state, emphasizing that no one desires a government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

While addressing an election rally in Haldia, located in the Purba Medinipur district, Banerjee urged opposition parties to unite in their efforts to remove the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the center.

She stated, 'The BJP will not win the elections in West Bengal this time. The TMC will form the government again. We will also remove the BJP from Delhi in 2026.'

Banerjee, who has been extensively touring West Bengal for the past month, mentioned, 'I have understood what the people want during this time, and it is clear that no one wants the BJP.'

In response to the BJP's allegations of financial irregularities against the TMC, she countered by stating that she is also preparing a charge sheet against the BJP regarding the 'cut-money' issue in the Haldia Dock Complex and the surrounding industrial area.

Banerjee remarked, 'You have issued a charge sheet against the TMC; I am also issuing one against the BJP.'

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had released a charge sheet against the TMC government on March 28, accusing it of corruption, deteriorating law and order, and promoting illegal immigration.
