Mamata Banerjee Criticizes PM Modi's Remarks

On Thursday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed her discontent towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and local BJP leaders, asserting that her administration is fully supporting him in national defense while he shifts blame onto the opposition.

Banerjee stated, "We are not only shocked but also saddened by what Modi ji said today, especially when the Opposition is representing the nation. In his presence, a minister mentioned an 'Operation Bengal,' akin to 'Operation Sindoor.' I challenge them—if they have the courage, let them hold elections tomorrow; we are prepared, and Bengal is ready to accept that challenge. However, they must keep in mind that time is crucial. Our representative, Abhishek Banerjee, is actively speaking out against terrorism. At this moment, Mr. Modi, instead of acting as the Prime Minister, you are criticizing a government that is providing you with unwavering support in defending the country. You are attempting to politicize the situation, similar to the tactics of the BJP's Jumla Party. This is nothing but a heap of lies. They exploit the nation and then vanish. Such remarks are unbecoming. Regarding 'Operation Sindoor,' while I have no comments, it is essential to remember that every woman deserves respect."
