Mamata Banerjee Accuses BJP of Conspiracy to Disrupt Peace in West Bengal

In a recent rally, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused the BJP of planning to create unrest in the state by orchestrating bomb blasts and blaming others. She warned that outsiders might be used to disrupt the electoral process and urged citizens to remain vigilant. Concurrently, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath criticized the TMC for fostering an environment of fear and lawlessness in Bengal. Banerjee also defended Bengal's cultural identity against what she termed as the BJP's attempts to impose uniformity. This political clash highlights the ongoing tensions as elections approach.

Allegations Against BJP

On Thursday, Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, made serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that the opposition plans to involve the NIA, orchestrate bomb blasts, and then blame others for these acts. Speaking at a public gathering in Dinhata, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader warned that individuals brought in from outside the state could be used to create unrest and facilitate the arrest of local youth as elections approach. Banerjee stated, 'Their plan is to bring in the NIA, create bomb blasts, and then pin the blame on someone else. They will bring in outsiders, accuse you, and arrest local boys soon. Just a few days remain. Stay patient, register your names, and avoid trouble. I urge you; they will create chaos to steal votes. If necessary, keep an eye on them even at night.'

Yogi Adityanath's Remarks

Meanwhile, during a rally in West Bardhaman, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed issues of identity crisis, lawlessness, crime, and mafia presence in Bengal. He appealed to the people, stating, 'I have come to appeal to those who have caused Bengal to face an identity crisis for the past 15 years; those who have turned Bengal into a hub of terror, mafia rule, extortion, and corruption. The TMC is no longer needed. They have instilled fear among the common people, youth, daughters, and sisters. It is because of them that the mafia has thrived. The BJP will eradicate this mafia culture. This is the BJP's commitment.'

Mamata Banerjee's Defense of Bengal's Identity

Earlier on Thursday, Mamata Banerjee accused the BJP of attempting to undermine Bengal's identity and constitutional rights. She mentioned that she celebrated 'Poila Boishakh' (Bengali New Year) with the people of West Bengal and reaffirmed her commitment to serving the state. The Chief Minister further alleged that people from Bengal face 'suffering and humiliation' in BJP-ruled states, claiming that there are attempts to impose uniformity by erasing Bengal's culture and diversity. She expressed her sorrow over the 'Bengal-opposing' actions of the BJP, which question their existence, threaten their constitutional rights, and subject them to harassment in BJP-ruled areas. 'They want to erase our language, culture, culinary habits, and diversity to impose uniformity,' she stated.
