Significant Rail Traffic Impact in Jaipur Division

Jaipur/Alwar, March 30, 2026: The North Western Railway (NWR) is currently undertaking the launch of Rail Under Bridges (RUB) at two critical level crossings (LC-95 and LC-106) between the Khairthal-Padisal and Padisal-Alwar stations on the Jaipur-Rewari rail section. This technical work is expected to significantly disrupt rail services on May 9 and 10, 2026. A total of 18 trains, including the Vande Bharat Express, will be affected, with some services partially canceled, others rerouted, and delays anticipated.


Key Affected Services

Partially Canceled Trains:

  • Train No. 09635 Jaipur-Rewari Special: Will operate from Jaipur on May 10 but will only run up to Alwar. The Alwar-Rewari section is canceled.
  • Train No. 09636 Rewari-Jaipur Special: Will commence from Alwar on May 10. The Rewari-Alwar section is canceled.

Vande Bharat Services Affected:

  • 26481 Jodhpur-Delhi Cant Vande Bharat (May 10): Will take the route Jaipur-Ringas-Rewari instead of the scheduled Phulera-Jaipur-Alwar.
  • 26482 Delhi Cant-Jodhpur Vande Bharat: Will operate via Rewari-Ringas-Jaipur.

  • 14321/14322 Bareilly-Bhuj / Bhuj-Bareilly
  • 20937 Porbandar-Delhi Sarai
  • 14661/14662 Barmer-Jammu Tawi / Jammu Tawi-Barmer

  • 12916 Delhi-Sabarmati (Ashram Express)
  • 20990 Chandigarh-Udaipur City
  • 15013 Jaisalmer-Kathgodam
  • And several other long-distance trains.

These trains will take alternative routes such as Ringas-Loharu-Ratangarh-Degana instead of the usual Phulera-Jaipur-Alwar-Rewari.

  • 12986 Delhi Sarai-Jaipur: Approximately 40 minutes
  • 12016 Ajmer-New Delhi: 15 minutes
  • 12249 Shakur Basti-Jaisalmer: 30 minutes

Amit Sudarshan, the Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, stated that this work is essential for enhancing rail safety and infrastructure. While alternative arrangements are being made to maintain rail traffic, passengers may still experience inconvenience.

  • Passengers with tickets booked for May 9-10 should consider alternative dates or routes.
  • Travelers on affected trains are advised to leave with extra time.
