Major Infrastructure Developments Set to Transform Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh is on the brink of significant transformation with the upcoming launch of two major infrastructure projects: the Ambala-Kala Amb Highway and the Daulatpur Chowk-Kartoli rail line. Announced by BJP spokesperson Sanjay Sharma, these initiatives aim to enhance connectivity, reduce logistics costs, and foster economic growth in the region. Sharma criticized the state government for its lack of development achievements while emphasizing the Centre's commitment to supporting Himachal during times of need. These projects are expected to create job opportunities and boost tourism, marking a pivotal moment for the state's future.

BJP State Spokesperson Sanjay Sharma has announced that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government is dedicated to the comprehensive development and infrastructure enhancement of Himachal Pradesh. He noted that on July 17, the region will witness the inauguration of two significant projects—the Ambala-Kala Amb Highway and the new Daulatpur Chowk-Kartoli rail line—demonstrating the Centre’s commitment to advancing Himachal's progress.

Sharma elaborated that the newly built Daulatpur Chowk-Kartoli rail line, part of the ₹830 crore Nangal Dam-Talwara-Mukerian initiative, will greatly enhance rail connectivity for the Una district and the entire state, linking it with Punjab and other regions. Likewise, the Ambala-Kala Amb Highway will facilitate smooth access to the Kala Amb Industrial Belt, lowering logistics expenses and creating new investment opportunities. He stressed that both projects will be crucial for generating employment and boosting tourism in Himachal.

In a pointed critique of the state government, Sharma remarked, “While the BJP-led Centre is establishing modern road and rail networks in Himachal, the Congress government is preoccupied with lamenting financial issues. Overwhelmed by unfulfilled promises, the Congress has little to show in terms of developmental achievements.”

He further stated that whenever Himachal has encountered disasters or needed developmental aid, the Modi administration has prioritized assistance over political considerations—whether through central funding for road repairs or significant infrastructure initiatives. The BJP, he claimed, has consistently prioritized the welfare of Himachal.

Sharma congratulated the residents of the state, asserting that these landmark projects will be instrumental in making Himachal Pradesh more self-sufficient and economically robust in the future.
