Karamveer Singh Arrested at Delhi Airport

Chandigarh: Punjab Police announced the arrest of Karamveer Singh, a close aide of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, at Delhi's IGI Airport on Tuesday following his deportation from Canada.

This apprehension by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) is considered a significant step in combating international organized crime.

Singh is accused of providing logistical assistance and a safe haven for Anmol Bishnoi in the United States. He was wanted under various sections of the IPC, the Arms Act, and the Passport Act, with a Look Out Circular (LOC) issued by AGTF Punjab on September 3, 2026, as stated by Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav on social media.

Anmol Bishnoi is the younger sibling of Lawrence Bishnoi.

The DGP highlighted Singh's extensive criminal background, which includes charges of murder, attempted murder, robbery, extortion, and violations of the Arms Act.

Ongoing investigations aim to reveal the broader scope of his criminal affiliations and operations.

Anmol Bishnoi, who has been implicated in several high-profile cases, was arrested by the National Investigation Agency after being deported from the US in November 2025. His arrest is linked to a case involving connections between criminal gangs and terrorist organizations.

Prior to his capture in November 2025, Anmol had been evading law enforcement since 2022 and was wanted for serious offenses, including the assassination of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique in October 2024, a shooting incident outside actor Salman Khan's home in April 2024, and the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022.
