Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde Hospitalized Due to Health Issues
Eknath Shinde Admitted to Hospital
Eknath Shinde, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and a prominent leader of the Shiv Sena party, has been admitted to Jupiter Hospital in Thane. Reports indicate that he has been experiencing mild fever, body aches, and extreme fatigue since Friday. Following medical advice, he was taken to the hospital for routine health examinations. According to hospital sources, his condition is currently stable.
Health Concerns Due to Busy Schedule
Initial reports suggest that Shinde's health has been affected by excessive work and ongoing political commitments over the past few days. It was noted that he developed a fever during the state assembly session on Friday and felt significantly weak.
Cancellation of Scheduled Events
Due to his health issues, all of Shinde's scheduled engagements for the day were canceled, and he was taken to the private hospital in Thane for treatment. Sources within the Shiv Sena have stated that there is no cause for concern regarding his health.
Active Political Involvement
Shinde has been actively involved in several significant political developments in Maharashtra, including the notable "Operation Tiger" where six MPs from the party led by Uddhav Thackeray and Mumbai Legislative Council member Sachin Ahir joined his faction.
Frequent Visits to New Delhi
In connection with these political events, he has made multiple trips to New Delhi. It is believed that his hectic schedule has contributed to his recent health issues.
Previous Hospitalization
This is not the first instance of Shinde being hospitalized at Jupiter Hospital due to health concerns. In December 2024, he was admitted following severe election campaigning and political engagements, suffering from fever, weakness, and a throat infection. At that time, party leaders described his hospitalization as a routine health check-up, and he was discharged after medical evaluation.
