CM Devendra Fadnavis Responds to Criticism

On Thursday, Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis strongly condemned comments made by senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan regarding 'Operation Sindoor'. Without directly naming Chavan, Fadnavis remarked, 'Some individuals seem to have lost their mental balance.'

Chavan, a former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has faced backlash after claiming on May 7, the first day of 'Operation Sindoor', that India suffered a 'complete defeat' in aerial combat with Pakistan.

While addressing a public gathering in Devli, Fadnavis expressed confusion over the statements made by certain political parties and leaders. He referred to a recent interview where a Congress leader asserted that India was defeated by Pakistan during 'Operation Sindoor'.

The CM further noted, 'They claimed our fighter jets were damaged and even suggested that the size of the Indian Army should be reduced.' He concluded by stating, 'In reality, such leaders have lost their mental equilibrium. Therefore, we cannot engage with them. I urge you to disregard such individuals.'
