On Friday, Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met with Vishal Agrawal, the father of the victim, and announced the establishment of a fast-track court to expedite the investigation into the murder that occurred at Lohagad Fort. He also appointed senior lawyer Ujjwal Nikam as the special public prosecutor for the case. The Chief Minister's office confirmed via social media that Fadnavis promptly addressed the family's requests and directed the Secretary of the Law and Justice Department to take necessary actions. Nikam has agreed to represent the case as the special public prosecutor.

Vishal Agrawal, father of Ketan, expressed his desire for justice during his meeting with Chief Minister Fadnavis in Pune. The Chief Minister assured him of the government's commitment to ensuring that the perpetrators face the harshest penalties. Fadnavis immediately accepted the family's demands for a fast-track court and the appointment of Nikam, issuing directives to the relevant department.

Details of the Case
Ketan Agrawal, a 25-year-old director and chief marketing officer of a real estate firm, was tragically pushed into a 350-foot deep gorge at Lohagad Fort on June 18, just a day before his fiancée Siya Goyal's birthday. The outing was intended to celebrate the occasion. Siya, aged 20, along with her boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary, 22, was arrested on June 23. They face charges of murder and conspiracy under the Indian Penal Code and are currently in police custody until June 29.
