Madhya Pradesh to Implement Uniform Civil Code This Month

Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) this month, aligning with the vision of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee. This initiative aims to unify the state's legal framework and reflects a commitment to national development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. The announcement was made during a ceremony celebrating Dr. Mookerjee's 125th birth anniversary, where Yadav also highlighted the state's focus on industrial growth and job creation. With plans to enhance Bhopal as an economic center, the government is dedicated to fostering inclusive development and reducing unemployment.

Bhopal, July 6: On Monday, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh declared that the state will introduce the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) within this month. He emphasized that this initiative aligns with the vision of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, who championed the idea of 'One Nation, One Constitution.'


This announcement was made during a ceremony in Bhopal commemorating the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Mookerjee.


During the event, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes at the statue of the late leader located at Lalghati before addressing party members and attendees.


“Dr. Mookerjee advocated for governance under one flag, one leader, and one Constitution. It is a matter of pride that Madhya Pradesh is progressing in this direction. The Uniform Civil Code will be enacted in our state this month,” stated CM Yadav.


He further noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India has established a unique global identity, and Madhya Pradesh is dedicated to implementing projects that foster national development.


The Chief Minister highlighted the government's focus on industrial growth, infrastructure enhancement, and job creation while ensuring the welfare of all societal segments.


Discussing the state's entry into the defense manufacturing sector, he mentioned that Madhya Pradesh is embarking on a new phase of industrial advancement, aiming to produce various defense products.


On this occasion, CM Yadav also inaugurated a significant industrial park in Satgarhi, which is expected to generate employment and provide comprehensive facilities for industries and workers.


He remarked that Bhopal is evolving into a crucial economic hub, with plans to develop large convention centers to facilitate business and investment activities.


Claiming that Madhya Pradesh boasts the lowest unemployment rate in the nation, the Chief Minister asserted that the state's development efforts are yielding fruitful outcomes.


He reiterated the government's commitment to enhancing infrastructure, attracting investments, and creating job opportunities while advancing the state towards inclusive growth.
