Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Announces Funding for Shujalpur Municipality's Centenary Celebrations

Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced substantial funding for the Shujalpur Municipality's centenary celebrations, allocating ₹3 crore for a new building and ₹2 crore for various development projects. During a virtual address, he extended Holi greetings and highlighted government initiatives aimed at enhancing farmer welfare. The state has declared 2026 as the Year of Farmer Welfare, with significant projects approved to support agricultural development. This announcement underscores the government's commitment to public service and equality among its citizens.
 

Funding Announcement for Development Projects

On Thursday, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh declared a financial allocation of ₹3 crore for a new building and ₹2 crore for various development projects, including road improvements, during the centenary celebrations of the Shujalpur Municipality Council. He emphasized that this centenary year is a moment of pride for every citizen of Shujalpur, celebrating the community's heritage, achievements, and collective resolve. With the blessings of Jatashankar Mahadev, the municipality has successfully completed 100 years of public service and welfare.


Virtual Address and Holi Greetings

While addressing the centenary event virtually, Chief Minister Yadav extended his warm wishes for Holi to the people of the state and the nation. He highlighted government initiatives such as the Farmer Cabinet and the increase in dearness allowance, which have made the Holi festival even more significant. He stated that through the Farmer Cabinet, the government has provided farmers with the opportunity to celebrate Holi with grandeur. Additionally, the government has shown its commitment to equality by raising the dearness allowance for pensioners among officials and employees by 3%.


Focus on Agricultural Welfare

The Madhya Pradesh government has designated the year 2026 as the Year of Farmer Welfare, under which various agricultural initiatives are being implemented. Recently, the state's first Agricultural Cabinet meeting took place in the tribal-dominated Barwani district, approving projects worth ₹27,746 crore for the benefit of farmers. Prior to this, another cabinet meeting was dedicated to farmers, deciding to continue various farmer-related schemes for the next five years. Furthermore, the state government has also increased the dearness allowance for its employees by 3%.
