LSG's Spiritual Visit to Ram Janmabhoomi

In preparation for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Sanjiv Goenka, the owner of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), along with team captain Rishabh Pant, visited the Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. After their prayers at the temple, Goenka expressed, "Offering prayers to Lord Ram is never enough, and with the IPL season approaching, all players have prayed here... With Lord Ram's blessings, everything aligns perfectly."


Purpose of the Visit

This visit was part of the team's pre-season activities aimed at seeking divine blessings before the prestigious tournament. Goenka and Pant were joined by select members of the LSG management during this significant occasion.

Rishabh Pant recently spoke about the team's pre-season training and praised the hiring of Bharat Arun as the new bowling coach. He emphasized the positive impact Arun has had on the squad as they gear up for IPL 2026.


In an interview with JioStar, Pant remarked, "The camp with the fast bowlers has been fantastic. Bharat Arun sir has joined us, and since his arrival, he has contributed significantly. We've had numerous discussions about my expectations from the bowlers and his insights. The energy is incredible. He is among the best bowling coaches, and I trust him, having previously worked with him on the Indian cricket team."

Pant highlighted that Arun's extensive experience and rapport with the bowlers are vital for enhancing their confidence and performance. "He brings invaluable experience. IPL 2026 Phase 1 Schedule for LSG

On March 11, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the schedule for the first phase of IPL 2026, set to take place from March 28 to April 12. Under Pant's leadership, LSG will kick off their campaign against Delhi Capitals on April 1, followed by matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 5, Kolkata Knight Riders on April 9, and Gujarat Titans on April 12. The defending champions, RCB, will open the tournament against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
