Upon her arrival at Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport on Tuesday night, Lovlina was greeted by a large crowd of fans and supporters celebrating her recent victory.

"As soon as I arrived at the airport, I was met by people eager to see and talk to me. That moment will stay with me forever. Every athlete dreams of such support, and I am grateful to have experienced it," she shared with the media.

Lovlina expressed that the love and recognition she received from the people of Assam, especially after representing the state on a global stage, added significant value to her achievement.

"Winning this gold medal holds a special place in my heart. It’s the result of years of hard work. While there are ups and downs in sports, bringing home a gold for Assam and India is a moment I cherish deeply," she remarked.

With her Asian Games journey concluded, Lovlina is now concentrating on her Olympic aspirations.

"My focus will now shift to preparing for Olympic qualification. I am determined to work harder and inspire more athletes from Assam. I want our state to shine not just in sports but in various fields," she stated.

Following her arrival, numerous felicitation events took place, with student organizations and political figures from various parties joining in the celebrations for the Golaghat boxer.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma honored Lovlina at Lok Sewa Bhawan on Tuesday for her gold medal achievement in the women’s 75kg boxing category at the Asian Games held in Japan.

The state government also awarded her a cheque of Rs 50 lakh as a token of recognition for her success.

Lovlina expressed her gratitude towards the Assam government, Chief Minister Sarma, Yuva Morcha officials, BJP leader Dilip Saikia, and the citizens of Assam for their unwavering support.

She recounted how the Chief Minister attempted to reach her immediately after her match, but she missed his calls as her phone was not accessible at that moment.

"He called me after my fight, and I later found out I had five missed calls because my phone was away from me. His call meant a lot to me, and meeting him today was truly special," she added.

The festivities continued in Guwahati, where a rally was held in her honor, with hundreds of fans following her car on motorcycles, waving the Tricolour and cheering for the boxer from Assam as she traversed the city.
