Since taking over as head coach in 2018, Scaloni has guided Argentina to significant achievements, including winning the FIFA World Cup 2022 and two Copa America titles. In the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup, Argentina finished as runners-up to Spain.

In an interview with MiGu, as reported by a sports news outlet, Scaloni emphasized that a new era is beginning for the national team, with younger players eager to join the senior squad. He stated that age should not be a barrier, highlighting that performance and dedication are what truly matter.
