A leopard cub tragically lost its life after being struck by an unidentified vehicle on National Highway 730 in the Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh. This unfortunate event was reported by officials on Thursday.

According to Bharat Kumar, the Divisional Forest Officer, the incident occurred late Wednesday evening when the cub attempted to cross the road. A speeding vehicle coming from the direction of Pilibhit collided with the animal.

The impact was so severe that the cub died at the scene. Bystanders promptly alerted the police and the forest department about the incident.

Kumar mentioned that he and his team arrived at the location, where they sent the cub's body for a post-mortem examination. An investigation is underway to identify the vehicle involved in the collision.
