In Thane, Maharashtra, two men are facing legal charges after a video of them urinating in public went viral on social media. The incident, which occurred near a school, has led to police action as authorities seek to address public decency and health concerns. Senior Inspector Rahul Patil's team identified the individuals involved, who are now charged under the Indian Penal Code. Despite the serious nature of the allegations, they have not yet been arrested. This incident raises questions about public behavior and the enforcement of laws regarding public decency.
 

Incident of Public Urination Leads to Legal Consequences

In Thane, Maharashtra, a video showing two individuals urinating on the street has gone viral on social media, prompting authorities to take action against them. A police official confirmed this development on Saturday.


According to an officer from the Kashigaon police station, the incident occurred near a school on January 7.


Following the viewing of the video on Instagram, Senior Inspector Rahul Patil directed a team led by Sub-Inspector Abhijit to track down the individuals involved. They identified the driver, Washim Shakeel Sheikh (36), and Dilip Rajendra Singh (44), who works for a private company.


The official stated that both men have been charged under the Indian Penal Code for obscenity, as well as for actions that could potentially spread life-threatening diseases, among other offenses. However, as of now, they have not been arrested.
