Etah (Uttar Pradesh), August 8 - A case has been filed against Mukesh Rajput, a Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), along with 86 others, including family members and security personnel, at the Sahawar police station in the neighboring Kasganj district. This action was taken following an order from the MP-MLA court. According to police sources, this case stems from a property dispute that occurred on September 7, 2025, involving the MP's sister, Reena, and her in-laws.

The complainants allege that during the dispute, the MP used his political influence to evict his brother-in-law, Ravindra, from their home. The victims have accused the MP's associates of forcibly taking over their shop and house, along with committing acts of violence and theft during the incident.

The affected family claims they reported the incident to local police and administrative officials immediately after it occurred, but no FIR was registered. Following the lack of action from the police, the victims sought justice through the courts. Police sources indicated that after hearing the case, the court ordered the registration of the complaint, leading to the filing of charges against Mukesh Rajput, 37 named individuals, and 50 unidentified persons for robbery, rioting, assault, and other offenses at the Sahawar police station.

Superintendent of Police O.P. Singh stated that a thorough investigation is underway, and necessary legal actions will be taken based on the facts and evidence that emerge during the inquiry.
