On Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:30 p.m., a significant landslide occurred near Kanju Morh, blocking the Bharmour-Kugti road, which is managed by the Public Works Department. This incident halted all traffic, leaving numerous vehicles stranded on either side and causing considerable inconvenience for travelers.

Bus services heading towards Kugti were also halted at Bharmour, exacerbating the travel disruptions. In response to the situation, a team from the PWD quickly arrived at the scene and initiated restoration efforts using heavy machinery.

Thanks to their relentless work, the road was cleared by around 8:30 p.m., allowing traffic to flow once again.

According to Junior Engineer Dhaniram from the PWD, large boulders had fallen onto the roadway, necessitating blasting operations before the route could be reopened. He noted that the department's swift response was crucial in ensuring the road was accessible again the same evening.
